Hey friends!

Two things are going on this weekend that I’m very excited about:

First, you’ve already heard about Sharefest (Sat 9am-4pm). This is a great event where we get to team with many other churches to serve our city in Christ’s name. I believe it’s estimated that over 2000 will be participating this year!

Our task will be beautifying Walteria Elementary School with paint, plants, and pachyderms (okay that last one isn’t real – just seeing if you’re paying attention. I’m told pastors are supposed to really like alliteration). We need to know who’s coming, so if you have not already signed up email Angela (angela.crowley@gmail.com).

Second, you can be praying for Jess Patay’s small group, who on Sunday will be running the La Jolla Half Marathon! The group’s focus has been “running and the spiritual life,” and much of their time together has been spent training for this event. This is no small accomplishment, and we are really proud of them!!!!!
