Hey friends!

Fall is here, and as always, it brings a flurry of activity. A couple things to keep your eye on:

Our second women’s retreat is happening September 20, 9am-5pm. This event was hugely enjoyed last year, and I’m sure will be this year as well. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy and get to know other ladies and refresh yourself in the Lord (great event to bring friends to also). You must register by this Sunday, so I’ve attached the flyer for you to print out and either mail to the address on the front or turn in on Sunday. Also, if the price is a problem, there are several scholarships available. A lot of husbands will be watching the kids that day . . .

Also, small groups are one of the most important ways we connect as a family. If you were with us on Sunday you heard a description of the great, diverse groups that will be starting up in the next few weeks. These groups are one of the best ways to go deeper with God and others, and are also a great venue for including friends who are curious about the faith. A full listing will be in Sunday’s bulletin – I hope you’ll find a group that fits you and jump in.

Finally, we start a new teaching series this weekend contrasting the view those outside the church have of Christians with who Jesus calls his church to be. Thanks to the many of you who have interviewed friends about this contrast – their comments have helped shaped the content of this series. Please join me in praying that God will use these teachings to help us live more authentically as the church, and that some of our friends who are outsiders will join us and come close to Jesus as a result.

Lord bless you my friends, and we’ll see you this weekend –
