This Sunday is an important night, as we will be sharing about our newest ventures in Mozambique, and I want to ask you to be praying for it.

Over the past few years we’ve been very blessed to partner with others to do some great work in one of the world’s neediest places: Mozambique, Africa. Our first venture was working among the poorest of the poor through microenterprise development. More recently we have been able to invest in ministry training for Mozambican church planters through the establishment of a theology school which is an offshoot of Brazil’s leading seminary. Now we have the opportunity to add to these two ministries a third partnership that will allow us to invest directly in the neediest of Mozambique’s population: women and children at risk.

On Sunday we will be sharing details about this newest venture (as well as updates about the other two, which are continuing), stories of what God is doing there, and the direction we sense God is leading us on this next step of the journey. In addition, I want to ask you to prayerfully consider how God might be asking you to give toward this work, and to pray that as a church we will share a deep sense of ownership for the work there. (This is a great night to bring a friend as well – I find that for many of my friends who are outside the church our Africa work is the most intriguing thing we do.)

Mozambique is one of several countries on the African continent where the church has historically had very little impact. I feel a deep sense of privilege that God is allowing our church family to serve his beloved children there in such significant ways. Thank you for making this part of your ministry, and for being the hands and feet of Christ.

Lord bless you friends –

Tim
