Tim Morey – Lead Pastor

Tim Morey (D.Min., Fuller Seminary, M.Div., Bethel Seminary) was born in San Diego where he accepted Christ at an early age, left the church as a teen, and was re-captured by the love of Jesus during college. Prior to planting Life, he served in college ministries in San Diego and Los Angeles. Tim is the proud father of Abigail and Hannah, whose beauty and charm prove that his wife Samantha has strong genes. He is the author of Embodying Our Faith: Becoming a Living, Sharing, Practicing Church (InterVarsity Press).

Dave Beck – Associate Pastor

Dave Beck (Ph.D., Southern Methodist University, M.A., Fuller Seminary) comes to us from King's Harbor Church where he served as Pastor of Spiritual Formation. Previously he worked in aerospace and taught theology and Bible as an adjunct instructor at two seminaries and a ministry training school. Dave is freshly home from a month in Haiti, where he serves on the Board of Directors for Child Hope International, a non-profit entity that oversees an orphanage, feeding program, and medical clinic. Dave has been married to Susan for 21 years and they have three children, Lauren (17), Spencer (13), and Nathaniel (8).

Samantha Morey – Children's Ministry Director

Samantha (B.S., San Diego Christian College) was born and raised in San Diego, where she met Christ, studied psychology in college, and married Tim in 1997. She has worked with children of all ages for over 16 years. She is passionate about children becoming fully-developed followers of Christ and understanding His purpose for them in this big world. She is the proud mom of Abby and Hannah, as well as the proud wife of Tim.
